Woke Harvard: A Tale of Spineless, Hypocritical Cowards
I’m old enough to remember when Republicans frequently got compared to Nazis. Actually, this still happens.
Any person with common sense would condemn Nazi behavior and stay as far away from that ideology as possible. It’s a toxic ideology that creates the delusional concept of a superior race, scapegoats to fuel the ideology, and inhumane violence. It’s humanity’s darkest chapter.
So, when a terrorist group attacks a land filled with Jews that got established as a haven for said people after the Holocaust, how does Harvard respond?
“Keep it up!”
Well, they don’t say it exactly like that, but this joint statement from various Harvard groups captures that sentiment (update: they deleted the doc, but I have a screenshot below. I am keeping the broken link).
Here are direct quotes that paint the picture.
“The apartheid regime is the only one to blame. Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years…Today, the Palestinian ordeal enters into uncharted territory. The coming days will require a firm stand against colonial retaliation.”
What does “a firm stand against colonial retaliation” mean? That sounds like a desire for more violence. A firm stand doesn’t mean saying a bunch of words and then fading off into the sunset.
The History Behind the Conflict
The conflict between Israel and Palestine is complex and stretches over several decades. Most people want peace and an end to fighting, but both governments continue to instigate conflicts. Civilians are the only casualties while the elites who start the wars typically end up just fine.
