Why I’m Back On Medium

I’ve been on and off Medium as a writer…but I’ve always been a reader.

For people considering Medium, this post will shed some light into my decision to return to this platform.

I am returning to Medium for a few reasons…

The first reason is that I love to write. If you are enjoy writing, Medium is a great place where you can make some money with your content.

Sure, most Medium writers don’t earn too much, but the ones who earn from Medium write on the site often. Considering I have $0.15 in career Medium earnings which is just enough to buy a share in a company about to go bankrupt, the only way I can go is up.

Some Medium writers make $100+ each month with a select few Medium writers earning $1,000s from the platform every month.

That’s a decent stream of income.

But the money is just a bonus and not the main reason I’ve been attracted to Medium. I can sell a $2.99 book on Amazon and make more with that sale than I’ve made on Medium so far…and I’ve published a bunch of those.

Some important context to my decision is that I’ve been locked into YouTube for all of 2020. I recently crossed the 5,000 YouTube subscriber milestone and am aiming for 10,000 YouTube subscribers by the end of the year.
