Why I Almost Never Post On Social Media Anymore
Social media is one giant lie
The media often gives us the best possible depiction of celebrities and billionaire. Most of the time, you only hear good or irrelevant news about these people. You’ll hear about how the billionaire started their company in the garage and tackled their ideas solo (big lie). Because of their success, we get inundated with countless 7 Tips/Rules From [Insert Billionaire’s Name] articles.
The media talks about the latest clothing the celebrity happens to wear or if they were sighted just living life. Any product celebrities launch receive massive attention whether justified or unjustified.
Some celebrities, athletes, and billionaires continue to be worshipped despite extremely questionable behavior behind the scenes. Some of these mistakes receive little scrutiny before dying off in the news cycle.
I stopped keeping up with these people because they only show the parts of themselves they want you to see. Only the good and never the bad.
If that sounds like social media, then you’re absolutely right. People only show the best parts of themselves. They show off the fancy vacation, the achievement, or some motivational insight you’ll feel empowered by in the moment but likely forget about in the next 10 minutes.
