Stop Seeking An Early Retirement

Financial independence is so much easier than that…

We’ve been hardwired to think in extremes. Make enough money to retire without working another day in your life or bust. The F.I.R.E. Movement has attracted many people for the emphasis on lifestyle and minimalism as a path to retirement.

Most people will need at least $1 million in their portfolio to retire the traditional way. A $1 million portfolio yielding 4% will produce over $3,000 per month. The cool part is that number will continue compounding.

However, let’s pose a different approach to ‘retirement.’ What if you never stop working? Cost of living isn’t exactly on the decline and inflation is creeping around the corner. I wouldn’t want to voluntarily cut down my earned income to zero.

Financial Independence Is All About Flexibility

You want to travel. You want to take days off from work just because you feel like it. You want to move to a more affordable area so you can stretch out your money a bit more.

You’re done with the long commute. You’re done with putting in the long hours each day. You need some type of change. F.I.R.E. presents the opportunity to create that type of change. However, there is a much simpler way.
