How To Surround Yourself With Better People
You become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with

The quickest way to become successful is by surrounding yourself with successful people.
The people in your life play a big role in the type of person you become. This is true…for better or for worse.
Surrounding yourself with better people also helps you build better friendships. It’s better to be close friends with a few people than sort of know many people.
Follow these strategies to surround yourself with people who will make you a better person.
Cut The Dead Weight
Before you can surround yourself with better people, you have to make room for them. Not everyone you know turns you into a better person. Some of the people you know are actually making yourself worse.
If you spend time with broke and pessimistic people, you are likely to end up broke and pessimistic in the future.
And if anyone bad mouths you for pursuing big goals just for the sake of throwing some jabs, those people have no place in your life.
Some people are easy to cut out of your life. Others are clients, friends, and family.
For close friends and family who make you a worse person, you can gradually distance yourself from those people. Rather than answer every call and text, delay your response by a few days. Making the conversations less frequent reduces these people’s impact on your life.
You can still serve pessimistic clients, but don’t get too tangled up with them. Do what you have to do and move on.
Over the long-term, it’s better to position yourself where you can handpick your clients. If a pessimistic person wants to be your client, and you know you won’t enjoy working with them, turn them away.
If you keep the pessimistic clients, you will get more pessimistic clients. If you keep great clients and turn away the bad clients, you get more of the great clients over the long-term.
Some dead weight is easier to cut off than others, but it has to be done.
While this might seem harsh, it’s worse for you if you continue surrounding yourself…
